the Sea Front Inn - Punta Gordo Town
The Sea Front Inn is an icon in Punta Gordo. Located at one of the most prominent locations right at the entrance to town on the main highway, and directly on the Gulf of Honduras, Caribbean Sea.
Punta Gordo is the business, government, and cultural center of the Toledo district and the southern most major coastal town in Belize. The contract has been let to complete the last 5 miles of the Southern highway which will make the area much more accessible. The countries airlines also have 9 scheduled flights in and out of the area daily, and there is also a ferry to Puerto Barrios, Guatemala from the city pier.
The Seafront Inn is a very unique and geographically established turn-key business in Punta Gorda, Belize. It is actually two, adjacent, 4 story buildings, completed in 1999 with approx. 16,000 square ft comprising 15 guest rooms, 3 apartments, 1 penthouse, a restaurant, and a dock.
The first building has 12 guest rooms, lobby, central
office, and a restaurant. The restaurant is on the 3rd
floor overlooking the Caribbean Sea with a full
commercial kitchen. It features handmade mahogany
tables, chairs, and carvings/sculptures in the rosewood
pillars. You can comfortably seat 30 – 40 guests being
easily adaptable for business meetings, parties,
wedding, etc.
The second building is the tallest structure in Punta
Gorda and has 2 guest rooms, 2 small apartments, 1 large
apartment, and a 3 story penthouse with rosewood floors,
beams, 2 private offices and an observation deck
allowing for the highest panoramic, view of the town,
Saddle Back and Seven Hills mountains, Guatemalan
mountains, and the entire Caribbean Sea.
These apartments are rented on a long
term or short term basis. This gives the Inn
versatility.
No guest room is alike as each is individually and
uniquely designed to portray a piece of the country’s
nature and culture. There are no numbers assigned to
the rooms instead the name of the room is the theme
portrayed. Example: Dolphin, Blue Morpho, Jaguar, etc.
Rooms are comfortable, spacious, with verandas and
hammocks available. The East rooms have views
overlooking the Caribbean, the mountains of Honduras,
Guatemala, and the opposite rooms overlook the Mayan
Mountains of Belize. All rooms have a/c & cable TV, and
wireless Internet in available. There are no phones in
the rooms however, a phone is provided in the lobby
24/7.
The business strives to be an Eco-friendly enterprise and was family built over a 10 year period. The construction is all by hand using local artists and craftsmen using river stone, imported tile, mahogany, rosewood, and many other valued woods. Much of the wood was rescued after being cut down for new road ways into the jungle.
There is a front lawn of approximately 1000 s.f. and an equal size court yard in the back. With an enclosed garage for 2 vehicles, private parking and gated parking there is plenty of room for your guests rented vehicles.
The latest addition is a 30’ Dock with permits to
extend.
As a turn-key
operation, most furnishings, art and equipment for the
hotel and restaurant will remain. This is an
established business, 100% family owned, built, and
operated with 35 years of experience in the country.
Operated as a labor of love by the
present owners this hotel is prime for increased
revenue. Even the restaurant portion can improve as they
only serve breakfast on a daily basis to guests and
lunch and dinner to large groups when requested. A good
marketing plan and you're set to prosper.
